It's always nice to be able to add components that make life easier and more enjoyable . Here is why we offer options to improve the efficiency and therefore the profitability of your greenhouse.

Options for building your greenhouse

Installation on a wooden base 

Here is the option ''Installation on treated wood base'' which is absolutely essential in order to install the greenhouse on the ground. The service we offer includes the levelling of the ground beforehand using our rototiller. The installation location must be level to the eye, otherwise we must provide additional equipment for the levelling of the greenhouse.

We install the base perfectly level and square in order to mount the greenhouse on it. It is also fixed to the ground by large steel rods to prevent movement during high winds.

Although it is rare, some clients undertake the construction of their base (making sure to respect our plan, level and square)

For those who have a slab beforehand, we can anchor the greenhouse to the slab without a base.

Polycarbonate 10 mm 

All front and back walls of our greenhouses are made with 10mm polycarbonate sheets. 

We choose this type of polycarbonate because it is very robust and insulated. These leaves have a greater insulating capacity and therefore, with a good heating system, allow you to extend your harvests even more significantly!

As for the side walls, the base price of our greenhouses includes 6mm polycarbonate sheets. But the 10mm polycarbonate option allows you to have the side walls also in 10mm polycarbonate, which is a smart choice for those who plan to heat their greenhouse in cold weather.

Here is the difference between the two layers of polycarbonate.


Screened ventilation and pollination hatches at the bottom of the front and back walls

In order to improve pollination and aeration, we offer this option of hatches that are practical, robust and very chic. 

These hatches are hinged and have a small hook and chain to adjust the desired opening. 

We also screened the opening to prevent the intrusion of small unwanted animals into the greenhouse.

Without this option, the bottom of the front and back walls are fixed and made of polycarbonate.

Ventilation and pollination hatches screened at the bottom of the side walls

Under the same principle as the front and rear hatches, these small hatches provide good aeration and pollination.

Made of polycarbonate, they are completely removable and the opening is also mesh.

The number of hatches desired is up to you, but we suggest a minimum of 2 hatches to create better airflow.

Custom-made expansion 


All of our longest models can be extended to a length of 4' by the width of the greenhouse in question.  


An extension for a 10' wide model represents an increase of 40' square (10' x 4') and therefore allows you to have a custom-made greenhouse, of the desired length. You can add as many extensions as you want, in multiples of 4' !

Black Exterior Hardware 

The black exterior hardware gives a very refined look to our greenhouses.

Each of the metal parts installed on the outside of the greenhouse is treated with black baked paint (powder coat). Here are a few examples below.

Accessories to make your greenhouse grow easier

Cedar vegetable beds

In order to properly design the interior of your urban greenhouse, here are cedar grow trays.

These perfectly fill the available space in the greenhouse. The size of a standard bin is 17'' x 47''. Our trays are bottomless to allow the roots to get their nutrients from the soil. and to drain the watering water well.

We offer combos to completely design the surface area of our greenhouse models. Depending on the width of the greenhouse, there are two or three rows of bins (one on each side and one in the center) as well as a longer bin for the back wall.

Some customers prefer to remove the container from the bottom since there is a door, but to make the grow space profitable, it's better to keep it!

Vegetable bed combos offer a discount of nearly 15% compared to buying single bed!

Lighting

The lighting circuit includes the installation of a system of LED grow lights, designed specifically for greenhouse cultivation.  

These lamps have a full spectrum between 400 nm and 800 nm, infinitely close to sunlight, to improve growth performance for all stages of plant growth (from germination to flowering). 

The lighting system includes:

- 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 LED lights (depending on the length of the greenhouse)

- Installation of lamps

This system can be easily connected to a regular house extension, but a power supply unit is required to connect the two circuits (one on each side of the greenhouse)

Seedling Shelves

 

At the request of several customers, here are tablets for sowing and/or potting.

These are completely removable and very practical for growing seedlings in the spring, or simply as storage.

They are built of cedar and have a 2'' x 2'' structure under the boards that are screwed together.

The treated wood support structure attached to the greenhouse does not get in the way when the shelves are removed and can therefore be left in place until the shelves need to be replaced.

Cedar work table 

In order to satisfy a special request, here is a small potting cabinet with two floors.

This work table is at an ideal height for standing up. It has storage space underneath to double the surface area. Also, it is the same size as the grow trays, which makes it easy to replace one of the containers.

As materials used, the table is made entirely of cedar, the structure is 2x2 and the boards are screwed.

Gutter rainwater harvesting system

What could be better than being able to collect the water that falls from the sky to feed our plants!

The 2024 model now allows for this new option.

All the water from the roof can be collected in a barrel. For a self-contained greenhouse, this is ideal.

Rainwater distribution system

This system will allow you to manually or automatically dispense the water contained in your barrel.

For full autonomy, we're leaning towards a system powered by solar panels, but some research and testing still needs to be done.
